Making a home -the experience that humans share with all other species - is about building shelter and sanctuary, not about building wealth and material excess. 
I am constantly inspired and humbled by the ways families and individuals are re- discovering and creating simplicity and beauty in their lives. Here's my contribution to the idea of building shelter.

The future is going to demand we all become very proactive and personally involved with how we produce and use our energy, food and water - and with that comes quite a bit of thinking and planning.  (Let's face it - we've had it pretty easy so far!)  

The toolbox pages are quiet detailed but by using the menu on the top right hand corner of each, you can scroll down to particular topics.
